Develop Your Refereeing Skills at BluesFest 2016

Are you a newly qualified Lacrosse Referee looking to put your skills to the test?

If so you may like to know that SEMLA is supporting training at this year’s BlueFest on 11th & 12th of June 2016 where you will receive coaching and get the usual refs pay.

This year BluesFest will again offer the chance for you to hone your skills, with top English referee coaches. This unique opportunity offers any qualified referee the chance to receive feedback and training on all aspects of their game including: three man mechanics, the CBO role, game management and rules and regulations. This training is designed to increase your confidence and support both newly qualified referees as well as old hands.

Full sponsorship has been awarded by SEMLA for the costs of training, allowing any referee undergoing coaching to receive the usual benefits of refereeing at BluesFest, including the £50 a day payment.

To summarise, BluesFest offers:

  • £50 a day for each day officiated
  • Free food from Friday evening until Sunday lunchtime with a couple of beers each evening
  • Free camping
  • Free entrance to ‘The BlueFest Party’

BluesFest is a great opportunity to join a team of 30 officials, get coaching and take part in Europe’s biggest lacrosse festival with 25 men’s and 15 women’s teams enjoying two days of lacrosse fun.
